Mussolini remains an honorary citizen Salò

Benito Mussolini will continue to be an honorary citizen of Salò. The honor awarded in 1924 remains in force, as it has been in the past 96 years.
So decided, by majority, the City Council meeting last night in a town hall armored by law enforcement. The newspaper of Brescia writes it today.
The motion for the revocation of citizenship had been presented by the directors of the Salò futura group, the only three who voted in favor of a position dismissed by the majority as "instrumental and anachronistic". The twelve directors of the majority of the mayor Giampiero Cipani have in fact voted compactly and the motion was rejected with 14 votes against and 3 in favor.
