The Argentine Foreign Ministry announced on Saturday that in the next few days it will remove from China the 14 Argentines who were isolated in Wuhan by the outbreak of coronavirus.

"The Government of Ukraine has informed, through our Embassy in Kiev, the willingness to provide a place for Argentine citizens who are in Wuhan, China, on a flight prepared by that country that leaves on the 18th and is scheduled to return to Kiev the next day , "the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Once they arrive in Ukraine, Argentine citizens must remain in quarantine for two weeks before they can return to Argentina.

"Our embassy in Beijing is already moving forward with the necessary procedures for Argentines who are in that locality and who wish to join this displacement," adds the statement, which closes with a message of thanks "to the Ukrainian government for its generosity" and " to the government of China for their collaboration in this invaluable action. "

On Friday, the Argentine vice chancellor, Pablo Tettamanti, had assured that "to the extent that we can find a way for them to leave China we will do it."

He said it in response to the video that a few hours before the 14 Argentines had spread with a dramatic request to be repatriated.

"We are 14 Argentines who have exhausted all formal instances of repatriation request. Our situation is difficult, we are restricted from going outside . Among us we have 4 children, the oldest is 6 years old and the youngest is just 8 months," Gloria said , one of the Argentine that carries out the claim.

In radio statements, Karen Gómez, who traveled to China to take a master's degree to Wuhan, the epicenter of the virus, had ensured that "many countries evacuated their citizens."

"We have asked the Argentine consulate in Beijing but we did not have a positive response," he added.

When asked about her current situation, the young woman said that she has lived "in a university, in a room, for 23 days " and "unable to leave the building".
