(ANSA) - FLORENCE, FEBRUARY 15 - A 21-year-old tourist from Sarzana (La Spezia) was discovered and reported who on the night of December 31 stole the plaque that recalls the mafia massacre at the Accademia dei Georgofili in Florence where on 27 May 1993 the explosion of a ' car bomb caused the death of the spouses FabrizioNencioni and Angela Fiume with their daughters Nadia (9 years) and Caterina (50 days of life), and the student Dario Capolicchio.
The carabinieri found out by investigating a group of tourists between 19 and 23 years of renters of a nearby apartment. From videos it appears that the theft occurred at 5.13 on 31 December and it is seen that the young man, after passing the olive tree protection net in the street, appropriated the plaque and put it over his shoulder by means of a chain.
The home in Sarzana where the 21-year-old lives has been searched and clothes and shoes identical to those worn in theft have been found. The carabinieri reported him for aggravated theft.
