School holidays: traffic jams on the Alpine road this Saturday

The roads promise to be busy this Saturday. While holidaymakers in zone C (Paris, Montpellier, Toulouse, etc.) are back from their first week of vacation, those in zone B (Marseille, Lille, Rennes, Strasbourg, etc.) are starting school holidays. Going forward, Bison futé recommends avoiding the A10 motorway near Bordeaux, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the A6 motorway between Auxerre and Beaune, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and between Beaune and Mâcon, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., as well as the A43 motorway between Lyon and Chambéry, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and finally the A40 motorway between Bourg-en-Bresse and Switzerland, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

For holidaymakers returning from vacation this Saturday, it is recommended to avoid the A6 motorway between Mâcon and Auxerre, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., the A43 motorway between Chambéry and Lyon, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., as well as the A40 motorway between Switzerland and Bourg-en-Bresse from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

According to smart Bison, the roads will be green everywhere in France this Sunday in the direction of going and coming.
