170,000 trees planted along the ring road. This is one of the facets of Anne Hidalgo's project for the urban highway that surrounds Paris.
The team of the mayor of Paris wants to revegetate the periphery from 2024. On the four-lane parts of the boulevard, one lane will even be reserved for cyclists.
Anne Hidalgo's objective is clear: "It is no longer possible to keep a barrier of twice four lanes which encloses Paris".
