California may have been the final destination for many immigrants from across the United States, especially during the 19th-century gold rush, but it is a great starting point for a trip to the U.S. From the Pacific bays to the Sierra Nevada Mountains, from the giant squash forests to the Mohabi Desert Death, the golden state offers travelers plenty of experiences, sites and incredible climatic diversity.

California is known not only for its wild nature, but also for its cities - after all, it's the most populous state in the U.S. In fact, it's hard to imagine what American (and global) culture would look like without San Francisco and Los Angeles. The film industry and the high-tech industry, as well as the counterculture of the 1960s.

So let's start in San Francisco. The city on which Minister Eric Einstein is responsible for some of the world's most recognizable sites such as the Golden Bridge, Alcatraz Prison and its steep streets. The city was founded in 1776 on the San Francisco Peninsula and is the densest city in the United States.

A visit to the city would not be complete without a visit to the notorious Alcatraz prison, which housed some of the most renowned criminals in US history. You should also visit the Fisherman's Reef and the colorful Chinatown district.

The most glamorous and entertaining in the world

And now we have reached the second pillar of the trip - Los Angeles. The City of Angels is the second largest city in the United States in terms of population size and is only competing in New York for its cultural importance. Of course, any visit to it would be incomplete without a jump to the star neighborhood - Hollywood, viewing the famous houses, and a visit to Kodak Hall, the auditorium of the Chinese Academy and the theater next to the famous sidewalk where the big movie stars dip their hands. The visit can be continued in the upscale Beverly Hills neighborhood and shopping at Rodeo Drive and the town's farmer's market.

Los Angeles is also home to some of the most famous amusement parks in the United States (and worldwide). Parks like Disneyland and Universal Studios. Universal was initially set up to allow the public to tour the film's film-making sites in the studios, but later expanded to a full theme park that attracts millions of visitors each year. In 2018, for example, more than 9 million movie enthusiasts visited the site. Visitors to the park can enjoy encounters with various characters from movies and TV shows and a host of attractions inspired by famous films such as Transformers, Harry Potter, Mummy and Jurassic Park. After such an experiential day, relax on a visit to the famous Santa Monica pier.

San Francisco and Los Angeles are two cities that can fill the entire trip, but they can also serve as a gateway to travel around the United States all so varied. The California visit can be completed by a visit to San Diego, considered one of the most beautiful cities in the western continent. The city overlooks the peninsula which was the first outpost established by the Spanish in California.

After San Diego we can head east and cross the desert to Las Vegas. The attraction of the city of Nevada obviously does not need explanations. Among the famous strip, the glorious hotels and the glittering casinos - the name of the city has come a long way. A visit to Las Vegas allows us to combine the fun of vibrant city life - gambling, restaurants, shows, and turbulent nightlife with the wilderness walks surrounding it. We can also visit Hoover Dam and the lake as soon as it is created. It is the largest dam in the United States and provides energy to all of Nevada and much of Arizona.
