In this show, Beata Ernman, 14, will play the role of young Edith Piaf. The main role of “Forever Piaf” will be played by the mother of the two teenage girls, opera singer Malena Ernman. The show will be playing at the Göta-Lejon theater from September 19.
The young Beata, who bears the name of their mother while Greta bears that of their father, shares with her big sister a common interest in the environmental cause. She too has been diagnosed with Asperger syndrome, hyperactivity syndrome and attention deficit disorder.
"Superpowers" rather than "handicaps"
His mother wants to see these disorders as "superpowers" rather than handicaps. "As far back as I can remember, I have always loved to sing and dance," said the teenager to DPA. And being able to interpret immortal music (by Piaf) is a dream come true. ”
Classically trained, mezzo-soprano Malena Ernman, 49, has performed in the largest halls in Europe, including the Opéra-Comique and the Champs-Elysées Theater in Paris. She represented Sweden at the Eurovision competition in 2009 in Moscow. Her husband Svante Thunberg, 50, father of Greta and Beata, is a film actor.
At the initiative of the “school strike for the climate”, Greta Thunberg, 17, was named “personality of the year 2019” on December 11 by the American magazine Time.
