Harry Potter isn't the only contender for the lead role in the upcoming Marvel series. But the second candidate is already playing in another Disney + series.
There have been rumors for a long time that Disney + has launched a new Marvel series: "Moon Knight". But who is supposed to take the leading role has not yet been determined. Two big names are currently under discussion. Most people know some of them as Harry Potter, the second candidate has not yet made an official appearance in Germany but, as the Mandalorian, causes his mischief.
February 21 update: Daniel Radcliffe commented on the rumors. In an interview with ComingSoon.net, he confirms that he will not appear as Moon Knight in the Disney + series of the same name.

We're talking about Daniel Radcliffe and Pedro Pascal . While Radcliffe has been seen in the theater in the past few months and has taken on some film roles, Pascal has played the main role in the successful Disney + series "The Mandalorian" since last year - which will only be seen in Germany in March 2020.

Who is "Moon Knight" anyway?
The most important question for many fans is actually: Who or what is the "Moon Knight"? The Marvel character made his first appearance in the 32nd edition of the Marvel comic "Werwolf by Night". Marc Spector , son of a rabbi from the USA, is under the mask of the "Moon Knight" . He was a heavyweight boxer himself and later went to the US Marines. After leaving the army, Spector worked as a mercenary.
He worked for an African mercenary in Egypt who wanted to loot an archaeological site. The argument broke out and Spector was left to die in the desert. The Egyptian moon god Khonshu saved his life and Spector became the "Moon Knight" .

Is "Moon Knight" just a copy of Batman?
Instead of superpowers , "Moon Knight" fights crime with gadgets , which has often led to accusations of a replacement Batman. Parallels between the two superheroes cannot be denied. Both are rich and have special technology.
The difference: " Moon Knight " acts more brutally against people and has three alter egos that help him in dealing with personal demons as well as in the fight against lawbreakers, and which have triggered the dissociative identity disorder.
