The kings of K-pop, the BTS group, released a new album on Friday, which broke records by becoming the most pre-ordered album in South Korea and the first single to be released on Tiktok. BTS (abbreviation of Bangtan Sonyeondan, which means "Boy Scouts resistant to bullets") is a worldwide musical phenomenon.
It is the first K-pop group to have reached the charts in the United States and in Great Britain and chained sold out concerts in Los Angeles, Chicago or London, or even ignited in June a Stade de France completely full. Their album Map of the Soul: 7 was released all over the world at the same time on Friday afternoon in Seoul. This figure refers to the number of group members as well as the number of years that have passed since their inception.

The group presented a 30-second clip from their single ON exclusively on Thursday on the short video sharing application TikTok, causing a bug. BTS is the first group to present their single via TikTok and fans were invited to use the sound of the song to create their own videos.
As of Friday morning, over 33,000 videos have already been made using this title. You could see fans dancing there in places such as classrooms. The song ON is "like a newspaper from our past five years," one of BTS members told Apple Music RM.
