(ANSA) - FLORENCE, FEBRUARY 21 - The Florence court sentenced the former carabiniere Pietro Costa to 5 years and 6 months, one of two military men accused of sexual violence for abusing two American students on the night between 6 and 7 September 2017 in Tuscan capital after having brought them home from the disco with the service car. Costa was accused in the trial for alleged abuse of one of the two youths. The colleague on patrol, the former pinned Marco Camuffo, had already been sentenced to 4 years and 8 months of imprisonment in an abbreviated form on 11 October 2018. Pietro Costa, present in the courtroom during the entire hearing, left before reading the hearing . The judges also sentenced him to perpetual disqualification from public offices and compensation for damages to civilians.
