Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc will share the cockpit of the Ferrari SF1000 on the first day of the second pre-season test scheduled for Wednesday to Friday at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
The German driver will be behind the wheel in the morning session and will then hand over the wheel to his teammate for the four afternoon hours.
Thursday, the second day of testing will see the return of Vettel in the car, who in the past week managed to drive 173 laps on the new car despite the replacement of the power unit made him lose two hours of time on the track. In this regard, the unit that had the fault last Friday was dismantled and analyzed in Maranello where it was confirmed that the non-structural problem with the lubrication circuit caused the stop. This is therefore not a major concern and actions to solve the problem are already in place.
Friday, the pre-season test for Ferrari will be closed by Leclerc, who up to this point has 181 passes to his credit. In the second three days of testing, the last one before the start of the season, scheduled for March 15 in Australia, the team will start working on the search for performance by simulating both qualifying and the race.
