This Friday, February 28, Fabián Gerardo Tablado , the femicide who in 1996 killed 113 stabs his girlfriend Carolina Aló , will regain his freedom. But before leaving, Justice had ordered a series of skills to see if it was dangerous. The studies determined that his mental faculties are normal, but they warned: he is not in a position to rejoin his daughters.

The psychological and psychiatric expertise had been provided by the Criminal Enforcement Judge of San Isidro Alejandro David, at the request of prosecutor Rodrigo Caro. They wanted to determine " if Tablado is dangerous for himself and for third parties ", and then "if it is necessary to deprive him of the exercise of parental responsibility", with his daughters.

The experts who evaluated Tablado concluded that their mental faculties are normal although they felt that they are not in a position to exercise parental responsibility over their 11-year-old daughters, judicial sources informed the Télam agency on Wednesday.

Carolina Aló and Fabián Tablado, a story that ended in tragedy.

The Ministry of Justice and Human Rights of the Nation on its website defines parental responsibility, formerly called parental rights, as "the set of duties and rights of parents over their minor children ."

A judicial source had explained the basis on which the measure was held to subject Tablado to psychiatric and psychological expertise: "What is sought with this measure is to see if this man is a potential danger to the woman he threatened while being imprisoned. , which earned him a second conviction, and for his daughters, and that in that case Family Justice should collect. "

The expertise of Tablado, who is imprisoned in Campana, was made in the Expert Advice of San Isidro. Judge David had also notified the Family Court of Tigre , where his ex-wife and daughters live; to the Directorate of Gender of that municipality, the local service for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of the Child and to the Counseling of Minors.

The Justice had advised the family of Carolina Aló of the sentence and the imminent freedom but also Roxana Villarejo, the teacher with whom the femicide married on September 14, 2007 in the Florencio Varela prison.

The couple then separated. Following a series of threats that Villarejo and his mother received, Tablado was again convicted of " coercion " in an abbreviated trial in which the San Isidro Correctional Justice gave him another two and a half years in prison, declared him a repeat offender and He set a single penalty of 26 years and 6 months in prison.

Although that penalty should be exhausted in 2022 , the benefit of the repealed Law of "2x1" and the courses that Tablado did in prison as an "educational stimulus", caused the penalty to be terminated on February 28, when he will recover the freedom.

It was worth it

Carolina Aló's crime was one of the most resonant cases in Argentine criminal history. That one, on May 27, 1996, at about 22, Carolina and Tablado left before the night school where they went together and went to his parents' house, located in Albarellos 348 de Tigre.

Carolina was 17 years old and was dating Tablado, then 20 years old. There was no one in the house of his relatives and, according to what femicide declared, after having sexual intercourse, a jealousy discussion began.

Tablado chased Carolina through several rooms of the house: the stairs, the kitchen and the garage. And he killed her with 113 stabs with four different white weapons : a kitchen knife, two Tramontina table knives and a carpentry form.

After the femicide, Tablado escaped, confessed what happened to a friend and went to hide under the bridge of Tedín Street, in Tigre, about 20 blocks from the crime scene and six from the school where he was going with his girlfriend. They stopped him there.

The trial was held in 1998 and, as at that time the figure of " femicide " did not exist, the prosecution and the complaint accused him of " homicide aggravated by alevosía ", but Room III of the Criminal Chamber of San Isidro condemned him to 24 years for " simple homicide ," and thus avoided life imprisonment.
