The national government confirmed that, at least until Wednesday, there are no cases of coronavirus in Argentina, after the protocol was activated in El Calafate and a case of San Juan that "is under analysis."

He did it during a press conference headed by the Minister of Health, Ginés González García, at the Ezeiza International Airport, where a special protocol is made for flights arriving from abroad.

"It is not the first time that a widespread fear for an epidemic of this style arises, today it is happening in China that the number of cases is decreasing sharply as it happened with the H1N1. There is the whole scientific system of the world looking for a preventive response, I have a moderate hope of having a more concrete and specific response in that regard. We try not to have a collective panic, "he said.

This Wednesday, two provinces activated their protocols for the disease: in Santa Cruz, by a 77-year-old Italian tourist who had symptoms in El Calafate, and in San Juan, at Rawson Hospital, by a 19-year-old Argentinean who submitted voluntarily.

"The case of El Calafate was a respiratory virus, and the case of San Juan is under analysis and a sample was taken," said Carla Vizzotti, secretary of Access to Health during the conference. In addition, she said they have no record of a suspect case in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Caballito.
