Boris Johnson's British government is ready to abandon negotiations on future post-Brexit relations with the EU in June, if prospects for a shared agreement do not emerge by then. Minister Michael Gove told the Municipalities, remarking that the transition will end on December 31, without extensions. Gove used harsh tones: saying he was "optimistic" about a possible "zero-duty" commercial agreement, but also insisting that British sovereignty and the rights of its citizens "come first" for the government.
