A British court of appeal today upheld the appeal lodged by groups of ecologists, and supported among others by the Labor Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, against the green light recently given after many hesitations by Boris Johnson's Tory government to the plan for the third runway at London Heathrow airport. According to the judge, Lord Lindblom, the executive did not give sufficient reassurance on the commitment to take into account, in the execution of the project, the objectives set by the Paris Agreement on the climate in the field of reduction of harmful emissions.
