A fire smoked throughout the Gare de Lyon area on Friday in Paris. Congolese opponents had called to go to the Bercy sector to demonstrate against the arrival of star Fally Ipupa, support of the regime in place. Scooters and trash fires, spotted under a bridge, were notably responsible for the thick black smoke. The underground part of the station - therefore the metro - was evacuated as a precaution, with a strong burning smell.
The fire was contained around 6:30 p.m., according to the police headquarters.
