Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center began on Monday to prepare for the admission of Corona patients in moderate and severe condition. Hadassah's preparations include the preparation of an isolated compound in the old hospital building that is already undergoing demolition procedures and is not staffed by patients. This involves training two departments, including 50 beds and six soul positions and intensive care.
This building has a compound for middle-aged patients and a separate intensive care complex for patients in need of ventilation. Entry into the two aforementioned areas will be prohibited on everyone, including close families and will operate a staff protected by the Ministry of Health and skilled in the care of patients of this type. Two wards, 50 beds and 6 respiratory and intensive care units.
Starting tomorrow, all hospital visitors will be asked to measure heat and have a brief questioning at the hospital entrance. Any case where the applicant is suffering from heat or must be in isolation will not be able to enter the hospital. This is a local initiative of Hadassah and not a new directive from the Ministry of Health.

The medical center's management, the Hadassah infectious disease specialists and the heads of the medical departments, rule out the possibility of Corona patients being admitted to existing wards, naturally, the wards and especially the internal ones - including older patients who are at high risk of life if infected.
Fortunately for Hadassah, all the treatments for children and women - including maternity and pregnant women in Ein Kerem, are done in a separate building and without any physical connection to the complex of diseases that erupt in the old building.
