Valentina Fluchaire , representative of Mexico , was crowned this Saturday as the new Miss International Queen , a beauty pageant for transgender women that, since 2004, has been held year after year in Pattaya, Thailand.
Excited by what happened, the Mexican used her Instagram account to share with the whole world a message of union, love and respect towards those who do not have the same opportunity to raise her voice and receive so much attention.
And, its historic triumph, also occurred in the framework of International Women's Day.
"Being on the front page of my country's newspapers makes me feel very proud and gives me hope to believe that, in the not too distant future, Mexican society will see transgender women as equals," wrote the new beauty queen in your Instagram account
