Thousands of beds in the Wuhan Sports Center are now empty. They welcomed patients infected with the coronavirus. Most of the makeshift hospitals built in emergency to contain the epidemic close their doors, after the announcement, by the Chinese health authorities, of a decline in the Covid-19 epidemic.
As the virus spreads all over the world, China has recorded (only) 40 new infections and 22 deaths in 24 hours, the lowest figures since the count began in January. In an effort to curb the progress of the disease, health officials have made great efforts in Wuhan. More than 1,800 teams, made up of at least five people, were responsible for tracing the contacts of the sick, that is to say tens of thousands of people.
Put under quarantine for more than 40 days, the city of Wuhan, home of the epidemic, is slowly coming back to life. The first exiles who left the area at the start of the contagion returned to the megalopolis by train. The beginning of the end ?
