Secure Video Calls, Dedicated Applications, Masks and Corona Kits • Maccabi Health Fund has released its guidelines for isolated corona patients

The Maccabi Hospital has transferred a dedicated corona kit to the inpatient home, which includes a sturgeon meter (for measuring oxygen in the blood), a thermometer, 20 disposable masks, and a disinfectant for hands.

Metrics and medical conditions are reported to Maccabi nurses. In addition, the inpatients are asked to update their status in the Ministry of Health app. Home hospitalization includes telephone calls from Maccabi nurses twice a day to assess their clinical condition.

If necessary, a video call will be made with a specialist who will decide whether to continue treatment. In addition, patients can call 24/7 via a direct line given to Maccabi's dedicated staff.



The Maccabi CEO has been talking to patients over the last hour through secure video. They have shared it with the isolation and outpatient experience at home. They say they are very pleased with the opportunity to stay home and receive all the service without being hospitalized.

In cases where a medical need arises during isolation, Maccabi members are invited to contact the family doctor or Maccabi nursing center (* 3555). When it comes to a non-urgent need, the treatment or examination in question is given priority. In urgent cases, we are prepared to provide the service in a number of ways: through the digital services of the HMO, by sending medical staff to the patient, or preparing an isolated complex at the medical center to which the patient should reach. According to medical discretion, the MDA call center can also be referred. Or to be treated for further treatment in advance with the hospital.
