(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 15 - Greece has carried out the transfer of 450 migrants, who have attempted to reach the island of Lesvos, to a facility near Athens. Local media refer to the authorities. A ship with migrants on board has docked in a port near Athens and migrants will be transferred to a facility north of the capital pending their expulsion. Immigrants were arrested on March 1st, a few days after Turkey announced the opening of borders for millions of migrants. As a response, Greece suspended all asylum applications for a month and imprisoned refugees migrants who tried to cross the border from Turkey.
