(ANSA) - NEW YORK, MAR 18 - A portal to access all the information about the coronavirus. Mark Zuckerberg presents Facebook's 'information center': it will open in 24 hours and aims to combat fake news and offer accurate and certified information about the virus. On the portal, which will appear in the top of the News Feed of its 2.5 billion friends, there will be the contents of scholars but also of celebrities in an attempt to promote the recommendations of the World Health Organization and the American Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Zuckerberg notes that the coronavirus and the measures put in place to contain it will cause an "important economic shock".
It states that Facebook has not received a request from government agencies to share personal information to control the spread of the virus.
