Facebook plans to give a thousand dollars to each of its approximately 45 thousand employees, to help them in the current emergency caused by the coronavirus. This was announced by CEO Mark Zuckerberg in an internal memo, according to reports from The Information website.
A company spokesman confirmed the news to CNN, explaining that the bonus, arriving in April, is designed to meet the extra costs caused by teleworking, such as creating a home workplace or the need for babysitting.
The bonus, according to rumors, will be given only to employees and not to atypical workers. In recent days, however, Faceook said that it would continue to pay regular wages to hourly workers, such as those in the canteen, despite short working hours.
