(ANSA) - PADUA, MARCH 20 - Family ceremony this morning for the last farewell to Adriano Trevisan, the 78-year-old pensioner who died at Covad-19 in Schiavonia hospital on February 21, last died in Italy due to the virus. Trevisan was buried in the Vo 'Vecchio cemetery, nobody was present besides the family. "We are close to the family" said Mayor Giuliano Martini, who was unable to attend the burial. The prosecutor of Padua, who opened a model 45 file on this first death (without suspects) had given the green light to the burial a few weeks ago, but expected that the Trevisan family would come out of the quarantine for the blessing. The power of attorney instructed Professor GiulianoRizzardini, an infectious disease specialist at the Sacco hospital in Milan, to investigate the death of Trevisan to assess the timeliness and compliance with the procedures of the doctors who intervened in this first case of death from coronavirus infection.
