Compensation payments for closed schools and day care centers
Parents of children up to 12 years of age who have to stay at home due to the ordered school and daycare closings * and thereby lose income are entitled to compensation from the state. 67 percent of net income should be paid, but not more than 2016 euros per month for a maximum of six weeks . Only those parents are entitled who find "no other reasonable care". Employees who receive short-time allowance or have other options to "temporarily stay away from work" are not eligible, for example by reducing overtime.

Families with low income receive up to 185 euros child allowance per month and child in Germany - not to be confused with the child benefit that everyone receives. In addition, in an emergency, for example, agricultural workers from other sectors are to be recruited who are short-time workers themselves due to the crisis. Anyone who helps out in "systemically relevant areas" whose income he then earns there should not be counted towards his short-time allowance.
Early retirees can earn more
The purpose of lifting additional earnings limits for early retirees also serves this purpose. If they want to help in the current crisis situation, they should be able to earn up to 44,590 euros in the current year without this being counted towards the old-age pension. The additional earnings limit is usually 6,300 euros per year.
Easier Hartz IV rules
The procedures in the job centers are being simplified to support their ability to work, as they say. Nobody should be in existential need because of the economic impact of this crisis. At Hartz IV, property audits and the amount of the apartment rent are temporarily waived.
