(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 26 - LibridaAsporto is born, a new service in support of independent bookshops and not belonging to editorial groups, which sees publishers working alongside booksellers to fight the closure due to the coronavirus, with free delivery of books to home.
Over thirty publishers who have contributed continuously, including: Carocci, DeA Planeta, and / or, Fandango, Fazi, Feltrinelli, Il Castoro, Il Mulino, IlSaggiatore, Iperborea, L'Ippocampo, L'Orma, Marcos y Marcos, Marsilio, Mondadori, Mondadori Electa, Nottetempo, Nutrimenti, Piemme, Quodlibet, Rizzoli, Sellerio, Sem, Sonda, Sonzogno, Sperling & Kupfer, Sur.
The new service was launched by NW Consulente eMarketing Editoriale, a company owned by Promedi Srl. By contacting the e-mail address libridaasporto@ennew.it, independent bookshops with a regular sales license for correspondence will be able to join the project and request the delivery of books to the customer. NW will provide them with couriers who will pick up and deliver behind the indications of the libraries themselves. The books will be delivered without transport costs for the bookstores and for the customer, since "the initiative will be financially supported by the editors through a fundraiser, and will be guaranteed until the funds are exhausted. The support of the publishers will allow the bookstore to maintain the 'virtuous thread 'with their readers that chased, after an emergency has returned, they will return to frequent their whites "explains a note.
"We are convinced that this initiative is very useful, as well as a new and effective service, above all a stimulus to confirm the presence of the bookshop in its own territory and to consolidate the relationship between publisher and bookseller. We believe that we must not stop: we want to create with bookstores and with the editors a concrete and true community in support of reading and the book "says Enrico Quaglia, general manager of NW.
The list of participating bookstores, constantly updated, is available on the website http://www.libridaasporto.it/elencolibrerie.html For information and membership: libridaasporto@ennew.it www.libridaasporto.it (ANSA).
