(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 26 - Electricity and gas bills lowered in the second quarter of 2020 with total savings of 184 euros per year per family. The Arera announced this, explaining that "the persistent low prices of raw materials in the wholesale markets, linked to a decisive reduction in consumption also due to the emergency COVID-19, and a substantial stability in the need for general charges lead in fact to a reduction in the -18.3% for electricity and -13.5% for gas for the type 1 family under protection ".
The update of the conditions of protection of the second quarter 2020 - explains Arera - reflects quotations in the wholesale markets of electricity and gas expected to fall, linked to a contraction in consumption that may continue in the near future, also due to the COVID emergency -19.
Rates: from April electricity -18.3%
