Training for the profession of media designer for images and sound is refreshed: new training regulations will apply from August.
Bonn (dpa / tmn) - Dual vocational training as a media designer for images and sound is getting new training regulations. This is announced by the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB). The most important change: The previously independent training courses for film and video editors and media designers for image and sound are being brought together.
From August 2020, there will only be one standardized training path in technical media production. According to the BIBB information, trainees should increasingly deal with the preparation of content for online platforms and social media.
The legal basis also plays a larger role: trainees are increasingly concerned with copyright and personal rights as well as data protection and data security. With 18 elective qualifications, they can deepen specific skills in the second and third year - in areas such as camera, studio or post-production, visual effects and sound designs.
