(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 29 - "There are constantly fewer and fewer deaths in intensive care, than those with the greatest risk of death: the trend of the last few days makes us feel good. We have slowed the drama of these weeks". LucaRicheldi, pulmonologist and member of the Technical Scientific Committee (CTS) of the Ministry of Health, summarizes the cautious optimism for the data of the coronavirus emergency in Italy: the daily budget records 3,815 more patients (total 73,880) and an increase of 756 victims, which brings the increasingly heavy death toll to 10,779 (the increase had been 889 on Saturday).
While in ICU there are now 3,906 patients, only 50in more than yesterday. A figure considered significant as that of the healed, who did not increase as on Saturday but nevertheless underwent a significant increase of 646, which brings the total to 13,030. "We are still in the midst of the epidemic - says Health Minister Roberto Speranza - It would be a serious mistake to put your guard down right now".
