Between a remote lesson, a video party with friends, some experiments in the kitchen and long video game sessions on call, the boys at home in the quarantine for the coronavirus also discover the parents' games. This time together, among many negative and mournful aspects, also has some positive side: to bring families together like never before, even on the weekend, the two days off for teenagers and young people usually spent around or in any case away from home. Now instead #iorestoacasa forces everyone under one roof and there is more time to share old and new passions, maybe to bring out those board games that entertained 20-30 and more years ago. From the classic Monopoly to Risiko but there are also those who dust off old boxes of Subbuteo and Rischiatutto, Scoop and Guess Who and Brivido kept in the attic among the best memories of youth. And go with tournaments.
Despite the various apps that have appeared on the web in recent years or the same social networks that involve young and old in various ways, the world of games still keeps up. This is demonstrated by the data of Trovaprezzi.it in the pandemic period, 7-24 March 2020, requested by ANSA. The category with the highest growth in this "particular period" was Puzzle with over 30 thousand searches (+ 991% compared to the same period of 2019), followed by Game Console which recorded a 324% increase with over 81 thousand searches.

Traditional games - such as table and board games - always remain a bit of a niche (reaching a total of almost 15,000 searches between 7 and 24 March), but the search trend is also positive for the great classics (102% compared to the same period of 2019). Hasbro's games: Monopoly, Cluedo, Guess Who and many others, already popular since the 90s, still hold the bank 30 years later; Monopoly even reappears in the new Electronic Banking version (starting at 34 euros) alongside Risiko and Scarabeo (starting at around 25 euros). . The most sought after between 7 and 24 March among the puzzles are those of Clementoni perhaps because depicting places and monuments with high quality images allow people to "travel". The most sought-after lines are the 1,000-piece Museum Collection but also the 500, 1,000, 1,500 or 3,000-piece High Quality Collection.
Among the most sought after video games by Italians from 7 to 24 March 2020: Pokemon and the classic Zelda are the masters in the Nintendo 3DS world; while for PS4 (as well as for Xbox One) we prefer sports games (such as Pes, Fifa or Nba) or the great classics such as Assassin's Creed (at around € 25 *), Call of Duty (from € 8) or Grand Theft Auto (at 22 euros).

Among the novelties the crossovers, special editions of games in vogue: so after Monopoly Fortnite , which put together the classic Monopoly with one of the most popular video game titles among the boys, Jenga Fortnite has arrived.
