2020-03-30T18:06:49.494Z

In a news crushed by the pandemic and containment, here is a selection of five information without any link with the Covid-19.

The coronavirus, which has already caused the death of more than 3000 people in the country and forced the French to be confined, phagocytoses all the other news. Some may have escaped you in this tsunami of information related to Covid-19.

Karim Benzema's strong tackle against Olivier Giroud, an impressive derailment of a passenger train in China, the death of little Daoudja, severely beaten in Tremblay-en-France, the London Ritz passing under the Qatari flag and news reassuring of Liliane and Tony, burned alive last February. Serious or lighter, find below five news from this Monday, guaranteed without coronavirus.

Karim Benzema pays himself Olivier Giroud

“We don't confuse F1 with karting, and I'm nice. Next. […] I know that I am F1. "If the football championships are stopped, Karim Benzema has not stopped tackling. The Real Madrid player attacked his former team-mate in France, Olivier Giroud, comparing in a video posted on Instagram the Chelsea striker to "karting", when he himself prides himself on being " Formula 1 ".

"If we talk about style of play, his suits the French team well. It is good because there are players like Mbappé or Griezmann who are fast or turn around the center-forward. He, in front, he weighs on the defenses, which allows the other two to move a lot and show themselves. It blocks and it works, "he said, however.

These words did not fail to react to Internet users, pointing to the lack of modesty of the ex-international, as well as the fact that "karting" had a world champion star on his jersey! Whatever, Karim Benzema assumes. “I simply told the truth. We didn't remember what I said about what he brought to the French team, we remember just when I said that I was F1 and he, karting. This is what I think, it is the truth and it is like that ”, he asserts in a new video posted this Monday afternoon.

Train derails in China

A spectacular train accident killed and injured 127 people in central China's Hunan province on Monday. According to Chinese railways, the train struck mounds of earth left on the tracks by a landslide. A total of 691 people were on board; one car caught fire and five others derailed.

Heavy rains have hit southern, eastern and central China in recent days, causing landslides in places. The train had left Jinan in the east of the country and was to go to the metropolis of Canton in the south.

Impressive videos posted on social networks showed at least three cars lying on their sides, as well as another in fire from which rose a thick gray smoke.

Little Daoudja is dead

Found in critical condition on Friday in Tremblay-en-France (Seine-Saint-Denis) after being beaten by his father, Daoudja, 6, died in the night from Sunday to Monday at Necker hospital (Paris) 15th) as a result of his injuries. "The child is in a state of brain death," said the Bobigny prosecution this weekend. He was already in cardiopulmonary arrest when the fire brigade and Samu arrived at the family home, alerted by his mother.

The husband is said to have admitted the facts. Corpulent, he would have violently struck the little boy on the head to the point of causing convulsions. Aged 45, he was brought before a judge on Sunday "for violence resulting in permanent infirmity and irreversible brain damage to a minor 15 years of age in the ascending line", pending a reclassification of the facts, and placed in detention provisional.

The London Ritz goes under Qatari flag

A legendary palace, the London Ritz has a new - and mysterious - owner. Built in 1906, the establishment found a buyer for the modest sum of 800 million pounds (or 900 million euros), according to estimates by British media. "It is a privilege to become the new owner of the iconic Ritz hotel and to have the opportunity to carry on its style and traditions," said a spokesperson for the buyer, a Qatari investor, whose name has not been revealed.

The Ritz London has 130 rooms, ranging from 650 pounds per night (730 euros) to over 6000 pounds for the largest suite (6725 euros). It previously belonged to the British Barclay family, which also owns the conservative daily The Daily Telegraph, close to Prime Minister Boris Johnson. The sale of the hotel highlighted the disagreement of the twin brothers David and Frederick, who did not agree on its sale price. One of the two brothers said he was ready to launch legal action in the event of too low a sale price, claiming to have received offers exceeding the billion pounds.

Burned alive, Tony and Liliane are "better"

Their story is cold in the back. Last February, Liliane, 46, and her son Tony, 8, were burned alive in a car in Pons (Charente-Maritime). An accident? No, an attempted murder made up by the former companion of Liliane, now imprisoned. Virginie, daughter and sister of the victims, had publicized the case and confided in the Parisian a month ago, while her relatives were hospitalized in serious condition.

The time had come to take news, and it was rather reassuring. Liliane "comes back to life," says her daughter, who specifies that she left the hospital for a rehabilitation center. As for little Tony, very badly burned, "his condition is improving and his care is going well, but he is still in intensive care," reports Virginie with emotion. "Before long, he will go to intensive care because he still has skin transplant operations to undergo," she said, while wishing to thank the people who supported her and her family. "My mother made her cry," remembers the student, who is impatient for the confinement to end in order to hug her loved ones.
