This weekend, France experienced a significant increase in the number of deaths on its territory. On this 14th day of confinement and the start of the airlift from China to bring in medical supplies, the epidemic continues to grow in France.
This Monday evening, the official assessment of the Directorate General of Health (DGS), set out by Jérôme Salomon, the Director General of Health, reports 418 new deaths in hospitals in the last 24 hours, or 3,024 deaths at this day in France.
The total number of people hospitalized is now close to 21,000 (+1,592 since Sunday) including a very strong influx of heavy cases in intensive care (+ 424) where 5,056 patients are admitted to date.
7,924 people also left the hospital cured.
