Asian stocks in deep red after Trump's predictions

European stock exchanges also open declining, markets discount the fear of the advance of the coronavirus. Futures on Ftse Mib in Piazza Affari fall by 3% (ANSA)


European stock exchanges are starting to drop sharply. Frankfurt lost 3.27% with the Dax at 9,610 points. Paris leaves 3.1% on the ground with the Cac 40 at 4,259 points. London dropped 3.24% with the Ftse 100 to 5,492 points.

A difficult start to the session is expected for the European stock exchanges, in the wake of the thud of the Asian stock exchanges while the markets return to discounting the fear of the advance of the coronavirus. Futures on the Ftse Mib in Piazza Affari fall 3% , those on Frankfurt by 3.5%, those on Paris by 3.3% and those on London by 3.7%

Asian stock markets in deep red with stock indexes discounting the gloomy predictions of the US president, Donald Trump, who expects "two very hard weeks" and fears up to 240,000 deaths in the United States due to coronavirus while the deaths in New York have exceeded one thousand. At the end of the session, Tokyo collapsed by 5%, Hong Kong by 2.2%, Seoul by 3.7%, Mumbai by 3.6% while the Chinese price lists were down thanks to the March PMI manufacturing index. Heavy futures on Europe, down by over 3%, and on Wall Street, down by almost 3%.

The Chinese stock exchanges ended the session slightly down by selling in the last part of the trades: the Shanghai Composite index lost 0.57%, to 2,734.52 points, while the Shenzhen one marked a fall of 0.35%, to quota 1,660.08.
