More than two months after the unfortunate death of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi , the millions of fans of the former basketball player were surprised to see that there is a new publication on his Instagram account.
Responsible for this is his widow, Vanessa Bryant , who tries to keep the memory of her husband alive, and for this reason she used social media to promote the new series of books Kobe wrote with renowned author Wesley King .
Kobe, who died along with his daughter and seven other people in a helicopter crash in January in Calabasas, California, had conceived a series of books for young adults, where he recounts the adventures of a basketball team.
Now, his wife announced on her Instagram account that the second book, titled "The Wizenard Series: Season One", is now for sale.

"Welcome back to Dren!" He wrote alongside a video showing the cover of the new book. "We hope they are ready to catch up with the West Bottom Badgers for another magical season of basketball. The #Wizenard Series: Season One is on sale now."
Together with science fiction writer Wesley King, Kobe created the imaginary series that follows the West Bottom Badgers, a basketball team in a poverty-stricken neighborhood, who are helped by the experience and magic of their coach, the teacher. Wizenard.
The new book follows the first in the series, released last year and titled "The Wizenard Series: Training Camp." Sadly, this new release was made in the absence of Kobe, who inspired countless young lovers of the sport with his talent on the court.
For his part, Wesley King also promoted the book series on his Twitter account, regretting that his co-author was not here to accompany him. "Official launch day, it is bittersweet without my collaborator, but I am grateful that his words are still alive. This book is about following your dreams," he said.

Last year, during a talk at Barnes & Noble, America's largest bookstore, the former basketball player discussed the first book.
"It's a mix of two of my passions: sports and fantasy storytelling," said Bryant. "I am a voracious reader and a great admirer of Harry Potter. So it came naturally to me looking at it from that perspective."
He also mentioned that Gianna's high school basketball team had read the opening novel, and that they loved it.
"Their first reaction was about the book in general. They think it is beautiful! ... The appearance is very different from that of many other children's books, so they responded very positively. As for the story itself , they enjoyed the format, which gives them a window into the perspectives of the five main characters, "he said.
