The number of coronavirus cases in the world has exceeded the million mark : this is what emerges from the updated data of John Hopkins University. The cases of contagion are now 1,016,128, the dead 53,146 and the people recovered 211,615.

With 1,169 victims in the past 24 hours, the United States now has the sad record of the greatest number of victims in a day since the start of the pandemic, surpassing the Italian record of 969 deaths on March 27. The US currently has 243,453 positive cases, more than double Italy, and nearly 6,000 deaths, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

305 million Americans are under orders to stay home, more than 90% of the population of the United States.

In order to try to flatten the contagion curve (1,414) and deaths (55) from coronaviruses as much as possible, Peru has developed a mechanism according to which men and women subjected to the mandatory quarantine regime will be able to exit, from today and until April 12, on days set by gender, in order to make purchases of basic necessities and / or urgent practices. This was announced yesterday evening by the President of the Republic, Martin Vizcarra. This is a measure, already adopted on March 31 in Panama not without controversy, but in Lima the head of state warned that Peru "is inclusive" and protects all citizens, for which all episodes of homophobia will be severely punished. According to the presidential decree, between 8 and 18 men can go out on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, while women can go out on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Sunday, however, will be off limits for everyone. The provision of circulation by sex, from which shop staff of all kinds are excluded, will end on April 12, the same day as the end of the state of emergency which introduced a strict night curfew.
