(ANSA) - MILAN, APRIL 3 - Maccarese Spa, a company controlled by Edizione, the holding of the Benetton family, will donate milk from its production to Caritas of Rome and to the Circolo di SanPietro, the so-called Pope's canteen, according to their needs and requests. The initiative, which will last until the end of the situation triggered by the emergence of the coronavirus, provides for the collection, bottling and distribution of the Lattesian carried out by the farm, one of the most important in Italy, located in the municipality of Fiumicino.
"The company has decided to give tangible and concrete help to the most needy, to help that part of citizens who are more frail who, in this moment of national economic emergency, find it difficult to obtain supplies of essential food products too", underlines Andrea Benetton, president of Maccarese. The company also offered to donate illicit to the Municipality of Fiumicino, which tomorrow will create a garrison in Macarese to distribute emergency food packages to those in difficulty.
