Surfaces such as cardboard and the porosity of fruits and vegetables are the perfect place for the coronavirus to lodge.

Currently, it is known that the coronavirus can remain suspended in the air for up to three hours , so it is necessary to take extreme hygiene measures with everything that enters our homes, including purchases from the supermarket .

The biologist, Javier Jaimes , a specialist in virology, explains that almost all the products from the supermarket that reach our home could be contaminated with COVID-19 , so it is very important to disinfect them. One of the best ways is to create a solution composed of 70 percent alcohol with 30 percent water.

And is that the specialist also points out that there are surfaces, such as metal, where the virus can live up to 48 hours, hence the importance of the pantry being rigorously cleaned, since in some materials such as cardboard, COVID -19 could stay for up to 72 hours.

The ideal is to take a cloth, wet it with the previously prepared solution and pass it through each of the products repeatedly, until we make sure that the entire surface has been disinfected . For example, products that come wrapped in plastic should be emptied and placed in aluminum.
