At this time, huge processes are taking place that are only seen in wars or disasters that will change the rules of the game for many years to come.

What would these changes be? There is little to know and there are enough experts and analysts trying to identify the same future trends. What we do know is that families try to maintain sanity and deal with the time they spend together. There is no person in the past few weeks who has received a flood of humorous Watsaps dealing with parental distress.

Of course, along with the families who are having trouble digesting the shared time, there are many families who are happy about the family time that is available to them beyond the day of the week and utilize it for many beneficial purposes. "Corona Time" is a great time to talk to kids about biology through the virus explanation and how it works in the cell (there are great videos on YouTube, with graphics that illustrate things amazingly - for example, in ASAPscience Channel videos).

At this time, when all economic wheels are in constant motion and talking about them in the media, parents have a rare opportunity to talk to the children about the economic implications of the global reality that has befallen us, terms such as types of taxes, the Bank of Israel, the employment market, oil prices, types of industries and supply chains. Along with explanations of money and entrepreneurship, what are the dangers inherent in an independent business, how to make a profit and how to manage a crisis.

Share with the kids in the management conversations of the company I run and then explain to them the business considerations that guide us and our external and internal forces and constraints. The kids hear about it through the media, and the live demos at the house fascinate them.

Obviously, not every parent is a financier or economist, but there is no parent who can not talk to the child these days about the basic concepts of proper management of the household regarding the balance between income and expenditure account, current expenses against "surprising" expenses, consumption basket and more.

Learning with the children, whether biology or economics, will help reduce anxiety, even if they don't talk about it or are unaware of it, and create a better understanding of the situation and the ways to deal with it. In all ways, if that's possible, it's just the time to teach kids how to "make" money and maybe even help them run their own business or networking initiatives.
