British actress Honor Blackman, reminiscent of James Bond buffs Galore from the movie "Goldfinger" passed away today (Monday) at the age of 94. In a media release issued by her family it is said that she died on a good return home in East Sussex.

"Alongside being an admired mother and grandmother, Honor was an actress with a productive creative talent," the family statement said. "Thanks to her extraordinary combination of beauty, mind and body, along with her unique voice and discipline, she achieved iconic status in the world of cinema and entertainment. Due to her commitment to her art and her total professionalism, she has contributed to some of the greatest films and theater productions of our time." The family signed the message to respect its privacy during these difficult times.

Blackman in her role as Pussy Galore is considered one of the most memorable James Bond girls in the history of the popular detective series. Alongside her iconic role alongside Sean Connery in the 1964 hit film, she is also remembered for her participation in the 1960s TV series "The Avengers" as well as in the comedy "The Upper Hand" from the early 1990s. In recent years Blackman has traveled across the UK on a show that has been about her long career.
