(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 06 - In the quarantine menu, TV remains a strong dish, but consumption, which has grown exponentially in recent weeks, is starting to experience a slight decrease.
And if the main editions of the news still occupy a large part of the top 20 of the most viewed programs in the last week, italk show lose polish. Fiction is booming, however, especially on Rai. Auditel data processed by Studio Frasi still tell the trend of the coronavirus listeners.
In the last week (March 29-April 4), the average audience was 14 million 497 thousand viewers, a figure of all-time observers, which however marks a decrease of 736 thousand spectators compared to the previous week (15 million 193 thousand from 22 to 28 March). The generalist networks, including the first three 'new channels', Tv8, Nove and Iris, are suffering from a slight decrease, albeit very slight.
"Television seems to have reached its youngest audience," comments Francesco Siliato, head of the Osservatorio Studio of the Phrases. "Compared to the year, differences are always very consistent, however the curves begin to fall. The impression is that we are going through a saturation phase, the anxiety generated by so much information has reached the maximum level and we are looking for distractions with the sense of impotence produced by pandemic".
Dominating the top 20 of the most watched programs is the exploit of Doc, the Rai1 series starring Luca Argentero who conquers the first and third positions with the two episodes aired on Thursday 2 April, followed by 8.2 million and 7, 9 million viewers (27.05% and 31.16% share). And in general, fiction is the only genre to center the plus sign (+ 0.5%) on Rai networks, also in the face of an increase in the offer: two and a half hours more for Viale Mazzini, 22 more hours on Mediaset, two extra hours on La7.
