(ANSA) - PALERMO, APRIL 7 - The Court of Appeal of Palermo has accepted the request for compensation for unjust detention presented by Bruno Contrada, former number two of the Sisde, sentenced to 10 years for external competition in mafia association. In Contrada, defended by the lawyer Stefano Giordano, 670 thousand euros have been paid. The sentence of the former policeman was deemed illegitimate by the European Court of Human Rights and by the Cassation.
