(ANSA) - FLORENCE, APRIL 7 - Isia Firenze is preparing to start the 3D printing of visor supports to be used in the operating rooms of the Tuscan hospitals that fight the Coronavirus: there will be six printers of the University Institute of Design in operation to create 10- 15 devices per day. ISIA is currently printing prototypes for health workers to test and tomorrow production is scheduled to start and, they explain, will continue as long as necessary. As soon as they are produced, the devices will be collected by the Civil Protection which will distribute them in the Tuscan hospitals that need them most. "The Covid-19 emergency -explains the president of ISIA Vincenzo Bonelli - as well as the absolute novelty of the obligation of social distancing and isolation has led to face a high demand in terms of health and in the case of protective devices to be provided to doctors, nurses and health personnel. The crucial role of these figures requires us to make their work already extremely hard, safe and protected. Our institute, with the coordination of our teachers FrancescaParotti and Andrea Moscardini, intended to give its contribution in this way ". (HANDLE).
