The new PS5 controller together with the 3D audio technology of the console should ensure an even better and more intensive gaming experience, Sony promises. The gamepad has new sensors for this. This also includes haptic feedback. In racing games, gamers should now be able to really feel how the car slides on muddy roads, for example.

The already suspected adaptive triggers of the DualSense actually come. For example, they increase the pressure that players have to put on them to match the game. Among other things, this is noticeable when a bow is tensioned before an arrow is fired. It remains to be seen how game developers will later use it in their works.

In addition, the new controller has a built-in microphone that players can use to easily talk to their friends - without a headset. The appearance of the DualSense for the PS5 is based on the design of the DualShock 4. Nevertheless, the differences are clear enough to distinguish the two controllers. The most noticeable are the revised handles.

What is striking: The share button of the DualShock 4 no longer found space on the PS5 controller *. The Create button is now available for this. Gameplay recordings can be shared with the world as usual. The Playstation controllers are usually kept in one color - at least in the standard versions. The DualSense comes standard with two colors. The light bar also has a new position. Instead of at the top of the controller, there are now two light bars on the outside of the touchpad in the middle.

In the coming weeks, Sony plans to release more information about the features of DualSense for Playstation 5 . Sony apparently did without the heart rate monitor in the handles *. This feature appeared in a patent on Sony console controllers earlier this year.
