VIDEO. Containment: they recreate famous works of art… at home

Do a work with a vacuum cleaner, pajamas, a meal tray? To pass the time, art lovers redo their favorite paintings, with the means at hand.

The Getty Museum in Los Angeles is the source of this challenge on social media. At the base, it was the museum employees who made the first copies, when they were bored in confinement. The museum posted their creations on social networks to encourage Internet users to do the same.

Among our favorite fake works: La Dame à l'hermine by Léonard De Vinci, La Laitière by Johannes Vermeer, or La Duchess very ugly by Quentin Metsy.

In France, the photographer Vincent Morla realized the same idea, applied to photography, by redoing at home the most iconic pictures of the 20th century.
