The vast majority of the employees concerned, 59%, work in a company employing less than 50 people. " Conversely, those working in establishments with more than 250 employees represent 15% of employees in partial activity, while these establishments cover 20% of private salaried employment ", highlights this second edition of the table of weekly job board. Regarding the most affected sectors, it is not surprising that these include trade and repair of automobiles (22.5%), accommodation and food services (14.7%), construction (14, 2%), and specialized, scientific and technical service activities (12.9%). The four of them together account for 64% of the requests for partial unemployment. Finally, at the geographic level, Île-de-France has the most requests with 20.2%, followed by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, with 13.1%.

Beyond short-time working, the number of job seekers entering training again fell sharply. Last week, from March 30 to April 5, 4,929 training registrations for job seekers registered with Pôle emploi were recorded, which represents a drop of 73% compared to the previous year. Two weeks ago, Pôle emploi reported 5,383 registrations in training. The situation has therefore deteriorated. In the same way, the use of subsidized contracts was divided by three compared to the weeks preceding confinement. Between March 16 and April 5, some 1,400 entries in the Skills Employment Pathway were recorded. " In comparison, over the three weeks preceding confinement, from February 17 to March 8, 2020, the cumulative number of admissions was 4,000, a drop of 64% compared to this reference period ," said Dares.
