"It is true, I recognize it, there is on certain fresh fruits and vegetables a strong increase" , estimated the Minister of Economy and Finance Bruno the Mayor during a press conference.
An increase which is largely explained by the less recourse to imports of fresh products in the rest of Europe, according to the minister: "To put it simply, the French strawberry gariguette is much more expensive than the Spanish strawberry".
For Bruno Le Maire "we pay for the quality of French products" even if the State services work "so that there is no undue increase in food prices" in France.
