Jérôme Salomon took an even more solemn tone to announce this news, during his daily information point, this Friday. The "first death" in Ile-de-France of a child "under 10 years old", having tested positive for Covid-19. The Director General of Health, however, clarified that the death of this child had "multiple" causes, and may therefore not be due solely to the coronavirus.
A total of 13,197 people died including 8,598 in the hospital (+ 554 in 24 hours) and 4,599 in nursing homes and medico-social establishments (+ 433). The slight decrease in resuscitation admissions that began on Thursday continues, with 62 fewer patients in 24 hours, "a very clear, shy break for all caregivers," said Professor Salomon.
