(ANSA) - VERONA, APRIL 10 - The "Italia del Gusto" consortium, created in 2006 on the initiative of Giovanni Rana, will deliver to 20,000 families selected in collaboration with Conad and Caritas Italiana in Naples, Palermo and Crotone. An initiative intended to respond to one of the dangers of this phase of the Coronavoirus emergency: "hunger, one of the greatest consequences of the pandemic", as Pope Francis himself pointed out. In the "solid packages", now ready for free distribution, there are pasta, dried fruit, tuna, chocolate, milk, coffee and other Italian food specialties. They will be distributed, in duetranche, at the turn of the Easter holidays. Created to bring together the best of the Made in Italy food chain, the "Italia del Gusto" consortium launches "Solidalitaly" on this occasion, an initiative that aims to help people and families in difficulty. The non-perishable and quality products are made available free of charge by some of the Italian companies that are part of the consortium, among which there are brands Amica Chips, Barilla, Bonomelli, Cannamela, Cirio, Delicius, Fabbri1905, Lavazza, Noberasco, Novi, Parmalat, PizzaCatarì, Polenta Valsugana, Ponti, Rio Mare, Riso Gallo, Sagra, San Benedetto, Santa Rosa, Santal with the support of Auricchio and Giovanni Rana.
