(ANSA-AFP) - BRUSSELS, APRIL 16 - In the climate of uncertainty surrounding the 2020 Formula 1 season, another race arises because of the COVID-19 pandemic: it is the Grand Prix of Belgium, scheduled for August 30 next one. Local government has announced that mass events will be announced until 31 of the same month. A piece of news that leaves little chance for the race: even if it were held behind closed doors, gatherings would still be created inside the paddock, where thousands of people work.
   Waiting to know how flexible the Belgian government is about the matter, the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, where the race should have taken place, announced the stop to sell the tickets and let those who had already purchased admission tickets that are worth the terms and conditions know terms of sale. "We will be informed about developments in the matter as soon as possible.
   In everyone's interest, the priority is compliance by all the measures imposed", reads the note in the circuit.
   The FIA ​​and F1 managers are still hoping for a 18-19 race calendar, beginning in July: it would be a highly condensed season, with several logistical issues to face. A similar problem also exists in France: the President of the Alps, Emmanuel Macron, announced in recent days that mass events will be banned until at least mid-July.
