Against all odds: 6-year-old Danny wanted to stay next to his father in Israel • At the airline they said there was no chance • Minutes before takeoff, a miracle occurred

Exciting: Igor Rubin lives in Haifa and his six-year-old son Dani lives with his mother in Belarus. As is well known, the situation in Belarus these days is different from all countries in the world. The president there decided that there was no reason to fight in Corona, that there really is no corona when in fact it may very well spread in the country when no one is devoting resources to deal with the spread of the epidemic.

Igor Rubin from Haifa meets his son once every few weeks, sometimes he flies to Belarus and sometimes his little son comes to Israel on flights when he is accompanied by flight attendants. This week, an unusual case occurred during which Igor's son was due to return to Israel to stay with his father while Belarus was unable to cope with the plague and minutes before an unusual incident took place. In an exciting post written by Igor, he reveals the details of the story.

"My son is flying by himself, he is used to. Last Friday I saw that there was a direct flight from Minsk to Ben Gurion Airport on Sunday and I immediately bought a ticket for my child and I already started to arrange the house for his arrival. As everyone knows, everyone who enters the country must stay in solitary confinement, I thought, how can a six-year-old be alone in a hotel solitary? My brother-in-law called me and told me that he had seen the Minister of Transport Smutrich's phone somewhere. It took me a few hours and I did it, I wrote to him at 22:59. A few minutes later, I received a reply from the minister himself and that is only the beginning of the story, "Igor writes.

"The next day, following Minister Smutrich's instructions, I wrote to the Defense Ministry chief, Itai Hershkowitz and shortly thereafter, he already had a conference call with Home Front Commanders to arrange Danny's entry into Israel and take me home for isolation and here the real story begins.

Danny's mother came with him to the Belarus airport and had to staff him for a flight attendant who was supposed to accompany him. At the airline, she was told that it was impossible for Dani to board the flight because the airline was not prepared to take responsibility because of the law in Israel that requires taking hotels. All the explanations did not work although in the country affairs were arranged, they laughed at her face and said that even the airline's CEO will not help. A few minutes before takeoff, Danny's mother called disappointed and told that he could not come with me, I felt that I was leaving my son in a country that does not know I called Eshi Hershkowitz who told me 'Don't worry, I'll handle it, the flight won't leave without your son', he called the ambassador to Belarus, who contacted the airline's CEO and all 15 minutes before takeoff. At that moment half an airport approached my son, delayed the flight for him and sat him down in business, got my son healthy and complete and I also made sure to call and ask if everything was fine. I am with my son now, in isolation at my home in Haifa, "Igor Rubin concludes.

Speaking to the excited father, he tells "Israel Today": "The situation in Belarus is so bad, Danny's mother is forced to go to work and the only option there is that the grandparents will keep him, that's a danger to them. I really thank Minister Smutrich, Itai Hershkowitz and our amazing people "It's not obvious, there are those who worry about us here. I am with my child, nothing more expensive than that."
